International Day of Yoga (IDY) gets a new logo

India has unveiled a captivating new logo for the International Day of Yoga (IDY) on June 21. The creative design reflects “harmony and peace for humanity”, which is the essence of yoga. The logo, reproduced below, will be used in all communications associated with the IDY in Poland. Folded hands in the logo symbolise Yoga, the union, which reflects the union of individual consciousness and universal consciousness, harmony between mind & body, man & nature; the holistic approach to health & well being. The brown leaves symbolise the Earth, the green leaves symbolise Nature, blue symbolises the water element, brightness symbolises the fire element and the Sun symbolises the source of energy and inspiration.

Welcoming the launch of the logo, Ambassador Ajay Bisaria said, “The preparations are gathering momentum and we are confident that IDY celebrations in Poland will promote a new awareness of yoga that will bring India and Poland closer together.”
